The Virtual brain

The Virtual Brain, developed on a non-profit model, is an open-source platform that brings together computational, cognitive and clinical neuroscientists. The Virtual Brain is a simulation platform that can be run on any laptop but is scalable to HPC clusters and has over 10,000 installations worldwide.

Visit The Virtual Brain website. Dr McIntosh helped secured the initial investment to establish The Virtual Brain. He is also a Senior Scientist at the Rotman Research Institute, and a Professor of Psychology at the University of Toronto. His work links cognitive and theoretical neuroscience by emphasizing how network operations give rise to human mental processes. We encourage you to read the November 2017 article, Building a virtual brain with network neuroscience, in the McGill Tribune.
